About Gridline Atelier
Gridline Atelier provides independent browser-based tools for generating printable paper layouts and learning about grid measurements. The workshop runs locally in the visitor’s browser. There is no account, no subscription, and no server-side paper renderer.
The site is a working stationery utility: choose a paper style, set millimetre spacing, preview a sheet that preserves physical aspect ratio, then print or export SVG and PNG. Geometry is calculated from US Letter (8.5 × 11 in, using 1 inch = 25.4 mm) or A4 (210 × 297 mm).
Seven paper styles
- Square graph paper — equal horizontal and vertical millimetre steps.
- Dot grid paper — circles on a rectangular lattice.
- Isometric graph paper — line families at 0°, +60°, and −60°.
- Hexagonal graph paper — regular pointy-top hexagons with shared edges.
- Coordinate plane paper — origin at the printable-area center, optional numbers.
- Lined writing paper — horizontal rules from the selected page size.
- Triangular grid paper — equilateral triangles defined by side length.
